"I did not realize how much I had missed my father
until we met again!" ~ Elizabeth Caissie
â&lsqauo;
Spanning forty-five years, The Place of a Father follows the journey of a woman, separated from her father and her country at a very young age, as she strives to follow her heart and live her life to the fullest. Taken from Massachusetts to France as a toddler, she will migrate back to the place she calls home, the United States, at the age of twenty-one.
Despite being absent, her father is a central theme influencing not only the person she becomes, but also many of her life choices. As he appears and disappears from her life, the author struggles to find a balance between acceptance and her yearning for a father's love. Only a twist of fate will reward her faith in destiny, when she finally reunites with her long-lost father. Together, they embark on a journey of healing and discovery that will take them to the beautiful shores of Baja, Mexico.
