I made the decision to write Book Power because of the requests I have had in teaching the live course. I self published my first book 20 years ago and so many things in the industry have changed since then. Many vanity publishers took advantage of people, others essentially pre sold overpriced copies to their authors. It was not really a good space to be in. Additionally, self published authors were frowned upon by traditional publishing houses and their voices were blocked from being heard.
